Quotations

A quotation states the product or specification, the quantity, the unit price, the trade term, the lead time and the port of loading. Prices are quoted for the specific configuration described. A change to the specification, the quantity or the destination may change the price, and we will confirm the revised figure before proceeding.

Prices are not published on this website, because a list price for configurable industrial instrumentation would be misleading. Every price is prepared against the requirement you provide.

Orders and specification

An order is accepted when we confirm it in writing, stating the specification to be supplied. Please check that confirmation carefully: the specification stated in it is the specification we will supply and against which any later question will be judged. Where a requirement has been interpreted from an application description rather than from a part number, the interpretation is set out in that confirmation for you to correct.

Lead times describe dispatch from our facility, not delivery at destination. Transit time depends on the shipping method and the destination, and is confirmed as part of the quotation where that matters.

Where an order runs to more than one shipment, payment is allocated to the goods actually shipped unless agreed otherwise. Any bank charges outside our own bank are for the buyer's account.

Trade terms, shipment and risk

We trade on FOB / CIF terms as defined in Incoterms, as stated in the quotation. Goods are shipped from Ningbo / Shanghai. The trade term agreed determines where risk passes and who arranges carriage and insurance, and it is stated on every quotation for that reason.

Documentation

Commercial invoice, packing list and the certificates confirmed at quotation stage are issued with the shipment. Tell us at quotation stage what your customs broker requires. Certificates are only issued for products that genuinely hold the corresponding approval.

Inspection

Goods are traceable to their production batch. Where third-party inspection is required, arrange it with us at quotation stage so that the inspection can be completed before shipment.

Claims

Please inspect the goods on arrival and notify us promptly of any shortage, damage or specification discrepancy, with photographs and the packing details. Claims for damage in transit are normally made against the carrier, and we will provide the shipping documents needed to support them.

Remedies

If goods do not conform to the specification confirmed in the order, we will put it right - by replacement, by repair or by a price adjustment - together with the remedy that applies to the individual order. We will confirm the applicable terms with the order confirmation. What we will not do is leave a non-conforming item unresolved.

Technical parameters published on this site are taken from the documentation supplied to us. Where a parameter is not stated in that documentation, the site marks it as information required rather than estimating it. Where two source documents disagree, the more conservative figure is published. Specifications are subject to confirmation against the documentation issued with the quotation.

Governing terms

The terms applying to a specific order are those stated in the contract or order confirmation for that order. Where this page and an order confirmation differ, the order confirmation governs.
